Application of the Second Generation Fbg Sensor to the Physical Modeling

Project Details

Description

The plain of west Taiwan is soft alluvium ground with high ground water level. Moreover, Taiwan is located at Circum-Pacific seismic belt, earthquakes usually occur and leading to soil liquefaction especially for the alluvium ground. Soil liquefaction would cause serious damage for structures built on the liquefiable ground, such as leave, bridge, hydraulic structures and so on. Citop Technologies Co., Ltd is famous about the Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) censers development, and the cooperation between NCU and Citop Technologies Co., Ltd can enhance the accuracy of measurements via the international collaborative project, Liquefaction Experiments and Analysis Projects (LEAP). The purpose of this project is to develop the proper FBG censers for centrifuge modeling and field measurement, and to increase Taiwan's popularity.
