Analysis of ATV TCS and optimal energy management control strategy

For small electric off-road all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), this project aims to develop a reinforcement learning integrated system that combines optimized energy management control strategies and traction control System (TCS) Technology. Based on the driver's setting of that destination and expected arrival time, the integrated system will capture the path information of the GPS destination and plan the optimal trajectory based on the driver's input. During driving, the integrated system monitors the vehicle's acceleration, battery state of charge (SOC), wheel speed, motor speed, and current to optimize and manage the vehicle's output power by controlling the slip ratio of the driving wheel to satisfy the required driving power. During driving, the integrated management system online monitors the vehicle's throttle signal, SOC, wheel speed, motor speed, and current, adjusts the motor's power output, and manages energy for optimal operation. This plan is expected to optimize energy management strategies to reduce power loss and save 15~20% of power consumption during riding. The TCS control strategy prevents the driving wheels from slipping due to excessive power output or too low road grip during vehicle acceleration. The integrated management system’s control strategy prevents the driving wheel from slipping due to excessive power output or low road grip during vehicle acceleration to achieve the ATV's functionality and superior off-road performance to improve product value and commerciality, thereby improving competitiveness in the international market.
