Today, the demand of the accuracy of instruments is significantly increasing in the various industries, such as factory automation control, network communication, automobiles, 3C electronic products, etc. Therefore, a fatal increase in complexity that each instrument requires multiple fixtures to connect the various components results of which are measured with uncertainty. In order to reduce the severe signal distortion problem caused by unwanted signals after passing through various connectors, the de-embedding technology by using automatic fixture removal (AFR) is used. However, the AFR de-embedding technology is currently developed by foreign companies. Domestic manufacturers need to spend a considerable amount of money getting the permission to use the technology, resulting in a substantial increase in the production cost of connectors for domestic companies in related fields. Therefore, this project will cooperate with a domestic company named ACES Electronics Co., Ltd. It is expected to develop a domestic AFR algorithm. The faced theoretical and practical problems are effectively dealt with by industry and academic cooperation. Finally, the developed 4-port AFR de-embedding algorithm will be applied to the relevant products of the cooperative company to verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithm. We believe that this project will cultivate relevant professionals and its implementation will be of great help to the domestic-related electronics connector companies in terms of the international competitiveness of their products.
