2022 International Symposium on Art History & Visual Culture

Project Details


The "2022 International Symposium on Art History & Visual Culture" will be held on October 14-15, 2022 at the International Conference Hall of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, National Central University. Scholars from Japan and Singapore will be invited to give keynote speeches. The symposium has six sessions, including "East Asian Religious Art in the Eyes of Foreigners", "East Asian Art Histories Revisited: Taiwan, China and Japan", "Early Modern Chinese Press and Graphic Communication", "Taiwan Landscape Photography", "Historical Strategies of Re-enactment in Contemporary Art" and "Early Modern Western Image and the Production of Knowledge." A total of 18 papers will be presented, showing the rich aspects of current research on art history and visual culture.
