Description
In order to enhance college students' interest and achievements in learning Hakka Pinyin and make it an ability that everyone can take with them, this project conducts teaching research on strategies to improve the learning effectiveness of Hakka Pinyin, focusing on the following six points: 1. Self-designed initial consonants , physical board games of vowels and tones (the concept of assessment to promote learning), through game-based learning, students can consolidate the pinyin knowledge they have learned in actual operations; 2. Online learning tools and platform support(ChatGPT/Bard etc.) provides convenient digital learning way, and at the same time, students can practice pinyin anytime and anywhere; 3. Timely writing feedback on the handwriting board (available in class and after class), which helps to correct students’ pinyin errors in a timely manner and also promotes practical writing skills; 4. Cooperative learning, After-class exercises (teaching-to-teaching method), through group discussions in class and after-class group leader reading, increase mutual learning and encouragement among students; 5. Pinyin Learning Network (for self-study), provides resources for independent learning platform, allowing Students can learn Pinyin at their own pace. For example: interactive exercises, tests and links to relevant learning resources to support students’ self-study process; 6. Teachers’ individual remedial teaching ensures that each student can receive appropriate guidance according to individual needs and effectively solves the pinyin learning problems that students may encounter. difficulty. The first section of Basic Hakka Language is mainly about dialogue and vocabulary. The pinyin of the second section is combined with the pinyin of the previous section for practice. The teaching material part also cooperates with the first to fourth grade students of the Department of Hakka Language and Social Sciences of our school. A team composed of students who have passed the "Intermediate and Advanced Hakka Proficiency Certification" jointly creates 20 units of situational dialogue text. The teaching content includes : Hakka Pinyin, dialogue comprehension, reading comprehension, extended learning, etc., ensuring the diversity and adaptability of teaching materials and being closer to the needs of college students.
