Along with the development of the green building and plant factory, solar lighting gradually draws higher attentions. However, solar lighting usually requires only the visible light, while the rays in other solar spectra are often filtered, resulting in much energy loss. In order to solve this issue, we propose a solar lighting and thermoelectric hybrid system which combines the lighting module and the power-generating module. The lighting module outputs the visible light, while the power-generating module uses infrared light to generate power. Basically, the proposed system consists of three modules: beam splitting module, lighting module and power-generation module.
