For the fatigue design of the developing New RC structures, such as bridges,high-tech manufacture plants, and the off-shore wind turbines, the project is thenproposed to investigate the fatigue design of New RC structures using SD690reinforcing steel bars. The results of the previous year showed that the S-N curveof the New RC beams might have the obvious effect on the larger diameter ofSD690 reinforcement. Thus, the main topic of the coming project will focus thehigh-cycle fatigue testing on the New RC beams with the larger diameter (#11) ofthe SD 690 reinforcing bars. Meanwhile, the conclusions will be made on the newS-N curves, the limit of the maximum bar stresses and stress ranges, a rationalfatigue life cycle of the New RC beams, and the concrete fatigue behavior, etc..
