Project Details
Description
Recently the typhoon and rainfall events became stronger and more frequent in Taiwan. This change often caused dramatic natural hazards. Typhoon and flood are most common hazards for the western Coastal Plain, and landslide and debris flow are those for the mountainous area. These hazards may cause a large number of deaths and loss of property seriously. Surface information of the hazard area is very important for relieving the victims and reducing the loss. The satellite radar, be capable of penetrating cloud and can image day and night and in all?weather condition, is thus a useful tool for getting surface information right after the dramatic hazard events.
