Description
This study uses the subsurface geological data from wells drilled in Yunghoshan and Chinshui anticlines to estimate the in-situ stress. The in-situ stress included pore fluid pressure (Pf), vertical stress (Sv) and minimum horizontal stress (Shmin) can be estimated from sonic logs, repeat formation tests, density logs, leak-off tests and mud densities when mud loss. With these data and Anderson’s theory of faulting, maximum horizontal stress (SHmax) can be calculated furthermore.
