科研創業計畫:積光陀螺儀之車體動態慣性定向應用

Project Details

Description

The team proposes a smart positional integrated-optic gyroscope (PIG) with a unit price of less than US$3,000, which is competitive in the international market. The goal is to promote the level of gyroscopes required for self-driving cars, and break the current low precision of MEMS gyroscopes and the high level of traditional fiber optic gyroscopes, which’s unit price is as high as $10,000. The company will be composed of a business team with more than 25 years of experience in the industry and a technical team from National Central University. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Professor Chen and Dr. Chung have nurtured this technology at National Central University for more than 10 years of the integration capability of opto-electromechanical modules. This project will continue to develop a miniaturized integrated-optic gyroscope, the size will reach 6 x 6 x 3 cm3, the weight is less than 250 grams, and the zero-drift stability is better than 1 deg/hr, ensuring its competition with self-driving car inertial navigation advantage. The field road test will use the engineering version of the integrated-optic gyroscope to integrate the multi-axis accelerometer, and perform positioning estimation in a test environment of more than 1 km without GPS and map data correction. The positioning error compared with the national standard map data must be less than 10 meters, which means that the error tolerance is 1%, and three invention patent applications will be completed before the end of the project.Professor Chen matched Mr. Chen and organized four members of Dr. Chung’s new creation team. The match invited Mr. Shen and Mr. Lin to serve as financial advisors to the team. Through the industrial match, we will carry out the preliminary development and verification of vehicle regulations and cooperate with the vehicle testing center and third-party verification platform to conduct vehicle safety verification and performance definition and carry out related applications in the industry.
