Asian countries pay much attention to English education; however, Asian students lack sufficient opportunities to speak English in authentic contexts. It is not easy for them to receive any instant feedback to improve their English speaking skills after class( face to face or online). Therefore, in this study, we proposed one mobile app called Ubiquitous English (UEnglish) to facilitate students’ English speaking learning anytime and anywhere in authentic contexts. UEnglish was designed and developed to employ advanced functions of automatic speech recognition, cloud machine translation, and text-to-speech engine. Based on the results of automatic speech recognition, instant scoring feedback, and correction were provided to motivate students to practice Englishspeaking more. Furthermore, cloud machine translation to English and English text-to-speech engine can make English practices much easier, thereby motivating students to do more English speaking by exploring authentic contexts. With the support of UEnglish, the main purpose of this study is to investigate students’ learning behaviors and their influence on learning achievement of English speaking in authentic contexts.With UEnglish help, this project will work with Hi-Tutor Education Group. Based on the analysis of the needs and current situation of EFL learning, we will develop our English learning products to complete the project for EFL learning in authentic contexts. The development of oral learning activity model, teaching strategy and teaching plan design includes a total of 5 themes (situations), 20 units, and through teaching empirical research to verify their suitability. At the same time, it further explores the students' learning behavior and the impact on learning effectiveness when using UEnglish to learn English speaking in authentic contexts.At the same time, follow-up plans for authentic contextual EFL speaking activities, strategies and curriculum design training for teaching plans, demonstration courses will be employed as examples to conduct teacher training and develop a series of courses for authentic contexts speaking activities after class. Hi-Tutor Education Group, the partner of this project, is well-known in the English online learning industry, combining online English learning teachers and platforms to provide a comprehensive English tutoring system and curriculum evelopment. Cooperating with Hi-Tutor Education Group to conduct empirical research can achieve a win-win situation. It is expected for this project to build a comprehensive and effective English speaking learning environment to help the government achieve its important policies "2030 Bilingual National Policy".
