Project Details
Description
With the climate and environmental change, there were more disasters caused by landslides or avalanches after the rainfall. Monitoring the unstable sediments in the hillsides could prevent the loss in those disasters. Transient electromagnetic(or Time-domain electromagnetic)(TEM) method is one of the controlled-source electromagnetic techniques. The TEM can be used to detect the shallow water. The new generation TEM equipment from 3JTech can provide the strong magnetic field by different type of current function to measure the shallow layers. The new development of calculating software would construct the smooth layer model to interpret the measurement of the new TEM system. The further use would be applied the TEM method to continuous monitoring of hillsides. The more information of underground would help to improve the earily warning system of landslides.
