Description
Buddhist phonetic and meaning books began to be paid attention to and used in the Qing Dynasty. Qing Confucianism's attention to Xuanying's "Sounds and Meanings of All Scriptures" was mostly shown in the collation of ancient books, proofreading, and editing. The value of Xuanyingshu is that the books it quotes are extremely rich. The book contains many ancient dictionaries and ancient books that have been lost today, which is extremely useful for future generations to study ancient exegesis. Therefore, from the perspective of academic research or preservation of historical data, Xuanying's "Zhongjing Yinyi" is a valuable treasure. The Qing Dynasty "Shuowen" research was very prosperous, among which Duan Yucai, Gui Fu, Wang Yun, Zhu Junsheng and others were called "the four masters of "Suowen"." These four people all used the materials of Xuanying's "Zhongjing Yinyi" when explaining "Shuowen Jiezi", and the roles of quoting Xuanying books are quite diverse. In addition, Yan Kejun's "Shuowen Proofreading" and Shen Tao's "Shuowen Guben Kao" also obviously adopted Xuanying's "Yin Yi" for the examination and proofreading of "Shuo Wen". It can be seen that the discovery and application of Xuanying's "Zhongjing Yinyi" did have its unique academic significance and value in the study of "Shuowen" in the Qing Dynasty. This research project is planned to last for two years, with the academic research aspect of the mutual involvement of "Buddhist Scriptures" and "Speaking Literature". Shi Xuanying's "Zhongjing Yinyi" written in the early Tang Dynasty had been buried in Buddhist classics for a long time. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it was finally paid attention in the field of “Siao Syueh”, and it produced certain academic value and time significance in the study of "Suowen" in the Qing Dynasty. Since the study of "Suowen" in the Qing Dynasty was extremely vigorous, the books were very popular. The scope of this research topic is to be set in Duan Yucai's "Shuowen Jiezi Zhu", Gui Fu's "Shuowen Jiezi Yizheng", Wang Yun's "Shuowen Jiezi Juyu", Zhu Junsheng's "Shuowen TongxunDingsheng", etc. The four great masters of the Qing Dynasty were the main ones, alongside Yan Kejun's "Shuowen Proof" and Shen Tao's "Shuowen Guben Kao" and other books. On the basis of the relevant research results in recent years, I will sort out the application situation of each family one by one, and with further cross-comparison, analyze the relationship and research characteristics of each other from the different aspects of era, region and pedigree. It is hoped that through the in-depth discussion of this research, it will show the application ofXuanying's "Yinyi" to Qing Confucianism in the study of "Shuowen Jiezi", and further highlight the study of Xuanying's "Yinyi" in "Shuowen’s” value and influence produced in the history, and its special significance of the times. The research results of this project will have both the academic value of Buddhistphonology and "Shuowen" studies.
