Project Details

Marine Controlled Source Electromagnetic (mCSEM) is one of the effective methods to explore submarine oil and gas and gas hydrate resources. This project conducts numerical simulations on the behavior of electromagnetic waves to facilitate the development and design of mCSEM instruments. This project is expected to provide an impact assessment of controlled source electromagnetic methods targeting the seabed structures in western Taiwan. The electromagnetic simulation results can be used as a reference for equipment research and development, and follow-up research can further explore whether the equipment is suitable for other seabed tectonic environments.
