海軍艦艇南中國海海上偵巡與作戰所需海象之模式預報-2/3

Project Details

Description

The islands of the South China Sea have been our territory since Chinese ancient times. Recently, South China Sea has been discovered that it contains many abundant natural resources, highlighting the importance of the South China Sea with sovereignty, resources and geostrategic importance and potential disputes. However, from the respective of marine environment of the South China Sea, it is mainly dominated by the dynamic factors of the climatic environment. Generally, the average winter wave in the northern part of the central basin can be as high as 10 ft. In summer, tidal current velocity of the western rim can reach 2 knots. In winter, the unsteady current is formed by the upwellings; in addition, the South China Sea has great internal waves, and the ocean and climatic environment are extremely harsh, which is extremely unfavorable for ship navigation. How to ensure the national security of China's South China Sea and Southeast Sandland in the disputes in the South China Sea will be an inevitable responsibility of our Navy , and maintaining navigation line in the South China Sea is another, and most important issues to the Navy. Now, naval METOC ocean model cannot accurately predict the vertical stratification of seawater temperature and salt, surface currents, waves in South China Sea. This research is to introduce a mixed coordinates and parallelized ocean model (sbPOM), and establish an automated, operational and non-academic marine power model for the Navy. Various marine environmental parameters in this region- south China Sea, currents, waves and tides to meet the mission requirements of our naval ships to ensure the mission and navigation safety of the naval ships.
