殭屍與數位生產模式:遊戲與電影中的模擬群眾(I-II)

Project Details

Description

The contemporary popular culture is witnessing a renewed interest in the zombie, whose resurgence is deeply connected to their new digital form in gaming and the cinematic visual effects. In academic discussions, the zombie is generally approached through the horror genre, communicated media, contagion discourse, and crowd psychology. The project will approach the zombie from the aspect of labor, not only because the Haitian origin is slave labor, but also because the zombie is associated with automatism. As digital Taylorism increasingly monitors and integrates the production process in real-time, the new mode of production continues to push for a fully-automated mode by the artificial intelligence (AI).
