Description
Since Shi-feng Yang’s investigation in Meinung (1971) found that no matter the opening and closing of the mouths of Shanshe 3 and 4, combined with the initials of Jianzu, etc., there are [ian] and [iat] pronunciations. Many scholars have commented on [ian] in Liukdui area. Make a more in-depth discussion with the ancient phenomenon of [iat], such as Eiichi Chishima, Yasushi Higuchi (1986), Seo-gim Lo (1990), Raung-fu Chong (1997, 2000, 2004, 2012, 2017), Ping-sheng Chang (2003), Li-mei Chong ( 2005)……etc. With the promotion and preservation of Hakka dialect by the Ministry of Education and the Hakka Affairs Council throughout the country for more than 20 years, the sound changes of [ian] and [ien], [iat] and [iet] in Liudui’s regions have actually been diverse and rich. The distortion of [ian/iat] is no longer represents the main voice feature of South Si-Xien accent. The above phenomenon is not just a problem of six internal differences or fragmentation. In addition to the inconsistency of certain characters (such as shoulder, condensation, knot, condemnation), which can be discussed in depth, social factors such as age and gender , Educational level, socio-economic status, language contact, social networks, language communities, and even individuals, families, local language teaching, etc., all have wrong and complicated relationships. This study attempts to observe six from the perspective and method of sociolinguistics. Analyze the sound changes of [ian/iat] and [ien/iet] in various regions, and discuss the sound changes of [ian/iat] and [ien/iet] from the above factors. More accurate explanations and analyses are obtained from surveys and statistics, and the future trend of sound changes in [ian/iat] and [ien/iet] in Liudui area is predicted.
