Project Details

Description

To improve the efficiencies of FORMOSAT optical imagery and satisfy therequirements of satellite remote sensing researches, this project intends toIntegrate FORMOSAT satellite data with multiple source data for the valuedproducts related to environmental healthy exposure in Taiwan. The main aimfocuses on developing the retrieval approaches and deep learning modelsassociated with the high spatial resolution imagery from the optical sensorsonboard FORMOSAT-2, FORMOSAT-5 and the FORMODAT-8 in the nearfuture. Associated with the integration of multiple sources of the atmospheric andterrain observations, the spatiotemporal exposure data system can be completelyconstructed with GIS for the assessments of environmental exposure and healthyrisk. There are 5 sub-projects work for the essential topics including,1.The retrievals/estimations in the major species (PM2.5、O3、 SO2、NO2) ofair pollution with FORMOSAT satellite observations in Taiwan (sub-projects 1and 4);2.The classification of land use over high population regions for the modelsconstruction and identifying the exposure sources (sub-project 2);3.To construct the models of the components of PM2.5 analyses for providing thesignificant environmental exposure risk (sub-project 3);4.The assessments of environmental exposure and healthy risk with theatmospheric characteristics and living environment in Taiwan;5.To construct the spatiotemporal exposure data system with GIS (geographicInformation System).
