Project Details
Description
We expect that computationally heavy forward simulation and inversion will continue to increase in the field of earth sciences. Quantum computation is a thriving technology that is expected to reduce the time-consuming calculation. As a pioneering study, under the shortage of related researches, we will quickly choose D-Wave's easy-to-use quantum annealer as a research tool. Our main goal is to achieve quantum computation testing for small-scale forward or reverse problems. Furthermore, we hope to accumulate assets related to quantum computing technology, to provide a template that can be used and referenced for subsequent researches, then to promote the development of quantum computing-related applications in the field of earth sciences.
