Project Details
Description
As a subsequent two-year research of our on-going MOSTproject, we attempts to develop a series of generalized two/three-dimensional analytical solutions for radial dispersion problems associated a various spectrum of initial, boundary and inner source conditions. The mathematical approaches will be achieved by serial applications of integral transforms in combination with power series method. Additionally, improved field transport experiments that can determine the horizontal-transverse or/and vertical-transverse dispersion dispersivity will be carried out to demonstrate the applications of the derived two/three-dimensional analytical solutions. The results of this project can be very useful for many groundwater investigation and remediation problems involving operation of an injection well or a pumping well.
