Description
The project goals are expected to intensify the national language theory and policy, to fill the gap in Taiwan language policy, and to improve the education policy for immigrant children via studying the issues of the language equality (inter-ethnic) and language rights (individual). In implementation strategy, the project is planning to build the “Language Equality and Policy Research Center” and organize the interdisciplinary team through the principle of the “Humanities, Technology, and Locality”. The team will explore immigrants and their children’s language usage, language adjustment, and ethnic identity. The project benefits are expected to clarify the language and education policy problems, as well as to develop the solutions for accomplishing the university social Responsibility.
