Description

This year, we will focus on the influence of spatial distribution of pore pressure ratio based on the well data of Chinese Petroleum Corporation. Meanwhile, the rotary shear tests under much slow velocity and higher normal stress than the previous study, which reflecting the real case, will be conducted. A ring shear sample holder to perform the shear tests under lower shear velocity and higher normal stress will be developed. We anticipate the spatial variation of critical taper angle can be well depict by the spatial variation of wedge thickness, strength of wedge and basal detachment, and pore pressure of wedge and detachment.
