Description
Software capstone project course is the most important capstone course for college students in the IS/IT domain. In such a course, students in teams need to apply what they have learnt in the past years as well as to explore external new knowledge to develop a real software system. From the perspective of system development, agile method is the prevailing development method in the information industry today, where software is gradually developed incrementally and continuously optimized by self-organized teams. Besides, for software development that emphasizes innovative development welcomes various ideas and opinions, team’s coordinative capability for resolving ad-hoc conflicts plays a critical role during the development. Therefore, this study investigates how students in self-organized teams learn to conduct agile-based development to equip with such a capability that can in turn demonstrate better development performance and software product quality.
