Project Details
Description
In the project, a design of 100 Ghz 1x8 T-shape patch antenna array using quartz substrate and flip-chip technique will be proposed. Due to its extremely low loss (loss tangent 0.0006), this technique is very suitable for circuit and antenna implementation especially at very high frequencies, such as W-band.The proposed design will be operated from 95 to 105 GHz (10% bandwidth).Peak gain of antenna array will be larger than 15 dBi, and the front-to-back ratio will also be larger than 15 dB.The works of the design will include:(1) patch antenna in the flip chip, with enhanced front-to-back ratio and miniatured area,(2) 8-way microstrip power divider,(3) microstrip-to-CPW transitions(4) CPW with pads for probe measurements(5) antenna manufacture and measurements.
