Project Details

Description

This project is organized by a team of undergraduate students from the Department of Earth Sciences of National Central University. Applied electrical resistivity tomography, a physical exploration technology method, will be conducted in this project to explore the status of the industrial waste landfill and heavy metal pollution near Caota Sand Dunes, Taoyuan City.Students participating in this project will conduct a site survey at Caota Sand Dunes in early June 2022 and discuss the survey line planning on the spot. In early July, at the National Central University, they will conduct a drill of field procedures, measurement procedures, and instrument operations. Finally, during the second half of the month, the team will closely observe weather and coastal conditions, and field data collection will be carried out at Caota Sand Dunes. After collecting the field data, the team will immediately analyze and calculate the underground resistivity structure in the research room. Moreover, they will study and interpret the pollution situation under the surface of Caota Sand Dunes based on the resistivity profile
