Current assessment of aerosol radiative effect is hindered by our incomplete knowledge of aerosol optical properties, especially absorption. The scientific objective of this project belongs to the 7-SEAS project configuration. The goal of the 7-SEAS project is attempting to understand the environmental and radiative impacts due to biomass-burning aerosols. In this study, we will analysis data from 2010-2015 7-SEAS field campaigns to quantify the optical properties of aerosols in source, transport, and sink regions. The physicochemical evolution of aerosols during the long-range transport will be discussed. Finally, we will apply the research outcomes to carry out a better estimation on aerosol radiative effects. The surface in situ, ground-base, and satellite remote sensing measurements will be integrated and applied to quantify the aerosol optical properties over the study region.
