Organization profile

NCU DSSE is the only institution of higher education to conduct space science and engineering research in Taiwan, and the breadth and completeness of space science research and education we offer are one-of-a-kind domestically. We have long participated in space science research projects at home and abroad and maintained close partnership with various space research institutions. Our department received a full budget subsidy provided by “Higher Education SPROUT Project- The Featured Areas Research Center Program” approved by the Ministry of Education this year, ensuring the Center for Astronautical Physics and Engineering (CAPE) be hypostatize in the next five years (2018-2022). At the same time, we actively participate in the third phase of the “National Space Technology Long-Term Development Program” (2019-2028) in Taiwan, cooperating with NSPO to execute various scientific missions and cultivate the next generation of talents in the space industry.
