The Department of Economics provides both undergraduate and graduate programs of instruction. Our academic programs train students to understand the solid theoretical core of the economic disciplines as well as to apply fundamental concepts to analyze real-world economic issues. For students to have better career opportunities in Taiwan’s rapidly internationalized economic environment, the Department designs courses to improve students’ proficiency in foreign languages and broaden their views on international affairs, in particular, the global economy.
